TEXAS POULTRY FEDERATION 2011 CONVENTION AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

The 2011 Texas Poultry Convention and Symposium was a huge success. There were 230 registrants attending this year's program. Dr. Morgan Farnell organized a very productive educational program. The Western Party was enjoyed by all. We raised $27,420 for the Scholarship Program. This amount includes $5,000 donated by Cargill, Waco, and Cargill, Inc.; $500 donated by Jake's Eggs; the golf outing was rained out and the golfers donated the $2,100 in prize money to the scholarship fund; and the skeet tournament raised $1,600 for the fund. A sincere thanks to all who participated in donating and purchasing items. As a reminder, the application is available online and is due in this office by September 15.
